I'd argue that soon Indy Car might field the best drivers in the world since they don't exactly have to have $20mil in funding to get a seat. With rumors that Di Resta and Perez are seriously considering a move to Indy Car another Euro formula champion announced a move today. Former Formula Renault 3.5 champion Aleshin announced a deal with Sam Schmidt Motorsports.

Know who else is a FR3.5 champ? Kevin Magnussen. The guy who McLaren booted Perez for.

Is Di Resta going to take his cousin's seat?

That's the strongest rumor. The other one being Ganassi's ties to TelMex and Perez' ties to TelMex

I hope de Silvestro doesn't get poached by F1. Well, I hope for me. She probably would like a shot at F1.

I hope she does. I haven't got a driver to root for on the grid at the moment in F1. I was a lewis fan til he really just went full prima donna and left for Mercedes. Simona would instantly be my favorite F1 driver.

Not putting Kanaan in the #10 would be bold.

Sergio hasn't ever won a Euro, or any, formula championship has he?

Don't get me wrong, he's obviously a solid driver, but I don't remember him having much of a resume.

Maybe higher caliber drivers will bring more manufacturer involvement, which is what I think the series really needs. Ford, Toyota, BMW, someone else needs to get in there.

Not sure if he has or hasn't. The FR3.5 champ I'm referring to is one I've never heard of who has driven pretty much everything in Europe except F1.

I've heard Audi rumors. That would be great for the series. Honestly though the talent this past year might have been the best ever in the series. The problem is nobody gives the series a chance due to the spec chassis and aero.

I wouldn't mind the spec chassis if there were more manufacturer s bringing engines to the party and Audi getting on board would be great. Whatever happened to the original plan of letting teams develop their own aero packages?

$$$. Economics are simple right now. Teams are barely operating with the budgets they have. R&D and additional costs would really hurt the competitive balance in the sport. It could easily become more like F1 in that regard. Honestly I'd rather have the epic racing we have right now.
